About Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is a farming game and it is up to the player to choose their path. The player devotes their their time to raising crops and taking care of animals. They also spend time in the local village where they may choose to befriend the local people. At the end they get rewarded and this way they are able to develop the farm in a better way.

Main Gameplay

In this game, the player takes up the role of a person who gets away from the buzz of the city and he takes over a farm in a place known as Stardew Valley. This farm belongs to his deceased grandfather. The main role of the player is to manage their time and energy levels as they do various activities such as raising livestock, clearing land, planting, tending crops, mining ores, and socialising with the local villagers. As they do this, they get to earn in-game money which they use to expand their farm.

Stardew Valley is an open-minded game which allows players to participate in the activities they feel suit them best. The game is also available in multiplayer mode where as many players as four can play at the same time.

Eric Barone, the developer, took more than four years to come up with this game and during this time he would interact with players. The game is inspired by the Harvest Moon video game. During the development of the game, Chucklefish approached Barone and offered to publish the game. This was something that motivated Barone to complete the development of the game and it was later released in February, 2016. After the release, Stardew valley was among the top-selling games on Steam which was something positive.
